Strategic planning for event volunteer managers
and those who lead volunteer as “one of many hats” in their job
Length: 60 - 90 minutes (flexible)
Professional Level: Basic
With annual events, there is very little, if any, time to refine processes and procedures and the board or committee responsible for the event changes every year or two and new members bring a different perspective on what the focus in certain areas should be. Those that manage volunteers as only part of their job don’t as often get support to attend volunteerism conferences for professional development as their full time counterparts, and quite obviously have to juggle their attentions over a wider variety of topics than their full time counterparts.
This session serves as a general approach for part time leaders of volunteers to strategically grow their volunteer program and meet with the greatest degree of success.
